Miss Anya gets my Promarker Treatment!!

I got some new goodies yesterday. Cos of a really hard week I needed to treat myself, and Tracey over at dies to die for, post that she had taken order of the New Miss Anya stamps, so I headed over on Thursday Afternoon and bought the Rain, Snow and Sun set plus the Miss Anya set.

Couldn't believe it when I got home from work on Friday, there they were waiting to be cut and inked up.

So I had a play.

I love the sketch Tiets has on her blog and I had a couple of card blanks prepared.

I stamped Miss Anya in Memento Ink on White cardstock and sat colouring most of the evening. Experimenting more with my Promarkers.

I get really frustrated when i find perfect papers for certain projects but don't have the right Promarker to go with it. So I tried mixing the colours and it works.

Hair: Cocoa, First layer all over, second layer alternate strands, then third layer in various areas to add tone. Blender pen to lighten highlight areas, followed by a gel pen to make hair look shiny.

Face: Blush, all over, applying about three layers to build up depth of colour, then dusky pink area the hair line, while blush is still wet, as blends more naturally.

Coat, boots and Umbrella: Pastel Blue and Cool Aqua, this achieved a colour much closer to the backing paper. First layer was the Pastel blue followed by a layer of Cool Aqua. Then I used both colours in alternate layers to add definition. I then use the blender pen to lighten the areas a later applied the gel pen, for highlights.

Skirt and Socks: Cocoa and Sandstone. First layer was all over using the Cocoa, I then added another layer but in the shade areas, once this was achieved I used Sandstone as a blender, but with colour. and this was the result.

I hope this has helped people who also use Promarkers, please don't think I'm an expert, the effects I achieve are usually through hours of experimenting, lots of mistakes (which I wouldn't show anyone) and basically playing around with various ideas

This is the first card I made..........

Added a few blooms and bling!

I have made more cards using the other images I bought. They are gorgeous, they even have my daughters seal of approval, so much so she asked if she could have some stamped images to colour.
Thank you for your support this week, I really appreciate all your comments.
