More Surprises!!!!!

I was chosen by Denise as one of her Fav 5 over at Passion for Promarkers. Thanks, wow, this week has been amazing!

A Special Friend!

It was my Friend Angela's Birthday on Saturday and this is what I made for her Birthday.

She has not been crafting for long and doesn't have many stamps so I thought some stamped images might be just the thing.

But I couldn't just give her those as she is such a special friend, so I made a folder to put them in!!

This is the front, I created the backing paper using the Baroque Motif Stamp, Love it!!!!!

I used a pink Prima Flower, and coloured it with my Stampin Up ink pad, Perfect Plum!

The sentiment is from the True Friend Stamp Set from Stampin' Up, which co-ordinates well with Baroque Motifs!

And these are the images. There are a selection so hopefully they will keep her busy for a while.

Hope you like.
Have a fab day

OMG!!!!!!!!

I got a text this morning, from my SU Mom to tell me I had been mentioned on the Sugar Nellie Blog, about my Gorjuss Girl Word Book.

I couldn't believe it, how amazing is that!!!!!!

Then I got home and another surprise, 28 comments left on my blog, some new people, 10 new followers and some fantastic loyal followers, thank you all, you don't know how much this boosts me, particularly at this time of year at work, when nothing seems enough.
Thank you all.
(and I'm 71 on the blog rating, LOL)
Thanks again what a day.

Promarker Challenge 5

How naughty am I. I missed the third challenge. What with weekends away and reports to write I just didn't get the opportunity!!!!

I thought I'd get ahead of things this week and have already done this weeks

Lemon and Meadow Green

When I made these I have to be honest I wasn't keen on the colour.
But the photos look much better.
The layout is another one I cased from another site.

I think I'll make more in different colours for the girls in my class as Good Bye and Good Luck cards, they are so simple. Now all I need is an image for the boys!! Any ideas????

Hope you like!!

New Stampers Club!

A new Stampin' Up Catalogue is due out in October, and I was thinking it might be a good idea to get organised, I may as well try and break a habit of a life time!! LOL!!!

I have about 5 people already interested in starting a Stampers' Club, and was just testing the water to see if anybody else out there would be interested.

It work by having a minimum amount to spend each month plus P&P.
One person out of the group become the hostess for each month and receive the Hostess benefits.
These are usually a minimum of £15 and Level One gift product.

If you are interested let me know via my email address and I'll get back to you with full details.

Have a lovely day,

The Fruits of My Labours!!!!

Well, got to the airfield all set to write my reports, and guess what didn't do a single one. I sat chatting and catching up with people I've not seen for a year or so!!!!

However I did have time to create a card for my niece's fifth birthday on Tuesday!
The image is a new cutie stamp I bought from Dies to Dies For. They CC Designs and I love them, they are just simple images.

Then I coloured them using my Trusted Promarkers, and highlighted using a Sakura Gel Pen.

I even had a little time to decorate the inside.

The papers are part of the sweet always range from Stampin Up.

The card stock is from my stash.

I added her name using Schoolbook serif, again from Stampin Up and layered it up using a variety of punches.

1 1/4 in for the letter, 1 3/8 in for the backing paper and the Scallop Circle for the the final layer, these were then 3Ded together and added to the front.

I added a couple of Prima flowers and some dewdrops to finish it off.

Hope you like. Have a lovely day. The sun is shining here, but I have to get some reports done and the ironing. But I'm sure I'll find some time to make a card or two!!!!!!

Here it is........

...........My new Box Design!!!!!
Its a Cantilever Style Box, inspired by the old tool boxes, but then I thought it need to to be multipurpose, and thought about the old wooden sewing box my mum has.
Its has taken a while for it the take shape, and several failed attempts to make sure the arms were positioned correctly.
This is how it all opens up. Unlike the traditional boxes which are able to hold themselves up due to their material, the top box actually swings all the way to sit level with the bottom box.
Then there is lots of room for goodies, not decided yet what to put in!!!!!
I then made a mirri-board box, but not keen. Think it needs to be dulled down slight, a little too bright for me.
Hope you like.
I might do a tutorial, not sure yet. Several people have said I should sell it, cos of all the work. but not sure how to go about doing this. So will see.
I'm out all day and night, so won't be back til tomorrow. Hope you all have a lovely Saturday, Think of me sitting in the middle of an Airfield writing reports!!!!!!!!!!

Another special card for a special friend!

This is the second that was commissioned by my friend's husband.
I really love this one, and its not often I say that about the cards I make, But the papers and images work really well.

I do love Sugar Nellie Stamped Images, they can work for all ages.

This gorgeous little girl was coloured using my Promarkers (only have thirteen to go and I have the full set!!)

I used my favourite retro flower punch, and a new leaf punch, isn't it cute!!

I printed the sentiment from the computer, then punched it out using 13/8in circle punch, and the punched a scallop circle in co-ordinating card.

This is the first card I have put a charm on, thought it was special enough!!!!

The verses were downloaded from free sites on the Internet, they really make a card special.
I hope you like this card as much as I do.
Have a lovely day,

A special friend!

This is a commission I have made for a very special friend.
Her Anniversary and Birthday are very close together and her husband, also a close friend, asked me to make both of the cards.
I find this very difficult, two cards for two occasions for the same person from the same person.
I tried to make the cards very different.
The birthday card well be posted tomorrow.
I have to say once I got stuck in I really enjoyed making them.

I wanted to do something different for the Anniversary card, so instead of using any images I downloaded so beautiful verses which are available on line, for free.

I used tonal paper with cream and gold mirri board. plus lots of brads. I can't wait for her to receive it!!

Hope you like, see you tomorrow
