New Release - "Belle"

I'm a little late with this post today. Was really tired and had a card class last night and was in a rush this morning!!!!!
Met Belle. I love her dress and her hair. I coloured her purple, cos I've not done this colour for a while and was looking through some papers and found this from Making Memories.
Also used a new nestie to mat and layer the image.
I added the same sentiment as yesterday, but this time as a swing tag, tied to the ribbon and charm!
I hope you like these images are so yummy, make sure you have a look over at Funky Kits now.
I off now I have had a stressful day adn very surreal!!!!! So am off to craft.
Have a lovely evening

New Release - "Iris"

Meet Iris. She is such a cutie, she really looks angelic!!
She is another of the new Digi Images from Sugar Nellies available at Funky Kits now.
I have created an easel card, as I haven't made one for ages. Covered the base with Stampin' Up papers - Yea party (I think!!!!). Then Layered the image and co-ordinating paper onto black card. Tied round some yummy stitched grosgrain.
I found this sentiment among some stamp I bought ages ago, and thought it was perfect and I have always liked it.
I used some punched out flowers to co-ordinate with Iris' head dress and used these as the stopper
And a dimensional shot to finish.
I hope you like. This is part of the Sugar babes mini blog hop so pop along to everyone's blog and have a peak at what they have been doing.
Have a lovely day. I meant to type this up last night but I fell asleep at 6pm and only woke up an hour ago (6:30am). It was a very intensive day yesterday. I met my new class of 2010-2011 and spoke with the teachers about them. 4 Hours of very intensive talks, it was like a summit meeting!!!!!! I'm going to have fun next year!!!!!!!! I gave up drinking about 17 years ago and haven't really had any alcohol for about 3 years, but vodka sales may go through the roof next year!!!!!!!
Anyway, Enjoy your day.

New Release - "Poppy"

Wow! Isn't she just the most adorable image you have seen recently. Her name is Poppy and she lives at the House of Sugar, you can give her a home if you go here. You don't even have to wait.

This image is available from Funky Kits to download now. When I saw these images in black and white, I thought yeah there ok, but then coloured I have fallen in love. I really hope they can be made in rubber. I find it so hard to stroke the files on my computer!
Every Year for work, I like to have a note book on my desk, just to write down any ideas I have and this is what I have created using this image. I coloured her using my promarkers, and used some of the gorgeous Sweet Pea papers from Stampin' Up. I ties on some ribbon and thats it. A notebook ready for September!!
I hope you like. Pop back tomorrow, Some of the Sugar Babes are having another Mini Blog hop to showcase some of these images. There are 4 in total.
Take care and have a great day.

New Release - Katy Hare Part 6

This is the final image recently released by Sugar Nellie, and is available from Funky Kits. I love this image, and it really isn't as daunting as it looks, I have lots of ideas for this image, but may have to wait til the summer holidays! Only 4 weeks and 4 days to go!! Not that I'm counting!lol!

Right this image is called Entangled, and I love it! Its so different, pop and have a look at the original here.
It is one of those images that every time you look at it you see something different.

To add a little detail, I have spotlighted some of the pattern paper, from MME and finally added a sentiment, from Stampin' Up.

Hope you have like these images this week. I have looks of new stuff to show, and I can play today, as I was very good yesterday and did do some reports.

Have a lovely Sunday.

New Release - Katy Hare Part 5

This gorgeous image is called Worried, and like all the others is available now, in rubber from Funky Kits.
I coloured him very simply using my promarkers especially the blender pen, which has given it a real water colour effect.

I created a gate fold card and matted papers and card to the front, then cut out the image and mat using a nestie.
Again I used the papers from My Minds Eye. I do love them, most of the ranges are gorgeous, and have just bought some more from Dies to Dies for. I was so surprised I ordered them on Wednesday they were here Thursday Morning!!!! How is that for Service!

The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I love this set, it just seems to say exactly what you want but simply. Again both cut out using my nesties.
Last image to show tomorrow.
Have a lovely day the sun is shining, I have a weekend of freedom from family to look forward to !!!!! Report Writing again!!!!! And Back is relatively pain free with no pain killers!!!

New Release - Katy Hare Part 4

Here is another scheduled post.
Here I have used the image Searching.
I think the clouds behind her could also be coloured as trees/bushes.

I wanted to do something a little bit different so riped the paper, give a faux gate fold look. The papers are from MME, and sentiment from Stampin' Up.

Well I'm hoping by now that I am pain free, so can enjoy the weekend.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 37

You know I love sketches, they make cardmaking and papercraft so much easier.

Today's Sketch by Marlene is no exception!

This is the sketch for the challenge over at the Sugar Bowl, with the theme

"Girlie or Feminine"

The prize is a fabulous one....a set of Nestabilities labels dies and a 6 stamp Suagr Nellie pick 'n' mix (winners choice)

Here is my interpretation:

Sorry can't spent much time sat at the computer as my back is a real problem at the moment. I'm on Diasepam, Codeine and Naprosyn - fab cocktail, when all taken together its a doosie!!!!!!
Tuesday I spent all day in bed - a cycle of crying in pain, sleeping and staring at the ceiling, 7 hours I was on my own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday after the doctor prescribed Codeine, I was up and walking within an hour, still painful, but not crying painful!!!!!!

Back to work today!!!! Must be mad!!!!!

Anyway enough of my rambling.

Make sure you get yourselves over to rest of the sweeties blog and see their beautiful creations.

Take care

New Release - Katy Hare Part 3

This is Garden Daisy.
She looks like she works so hard, tending her garden.
Again a very simple card, papers are MME. The image was cut out using an oval nestie and then I inked the edges before removing it from the die.
I had a slight accident, so covered it up using a square of patterned paper.

And again a Stampin' Up sentiment

A Break tomorrow as it time for another Sugar Bowl Challenge!
Take care

New Release - Katy Hare Part 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of my scheduled post week. This is an image called Little bear and really needs very little doing with it.
I added a little interest and warmth by creating a sunset behind the image.
Its a zig-zag style card. Same papers from MME and nesties for the images and mounts.
Very Simple!!
Hope you like!!

New Release - Katy Hare Part 1

This is Artist Betty, she is so cute.
Today started a week of scheduled posts, got a really heavy week at work, the nerves in my back and hip are playing up, am in a lot of pain, so can't sit for too long!!!!!! need to go to the doctors. Therefore thought I'd show the cards I have made using Kathy Hare's new stamps, available at Funky Kits, and have a bit of a rest this week.
All the cards I am showing this week (except Thursday) are really simple and using the same papers and colour scheme.
The papers are from MME and the sentiment is SU.

I inked all the edges, after cutting squares from the papers, mounted them to the front of the card, Cut the image using a nestie, and then added the sentiment.

Hope you like, more tomorrow!

A Hard Card to Make.............

I know that bereavement cards are the hardest thing to make but I found this one particularly hard.
My Friend asked me to make a card for a friend of hers, that she just couldn't bring herself to do. So me being me said "No Problem".
I used this sweet image from Lili of the Valley, as I as told she like fairy type images. I know this one isn't a fairy, but I though the flowers made it suitable adn it has a fairy-like quality about it. Another request was that it be pink and purple and had the name and date on it.
I think this part is the most heart breaking!!!!!!!!
This is what I created. She wanted a card and a keepsake box.
I used some Stampin' Up Speciality Paper - more cardstock - for the background - The card comes in White, black and cream. So for this is dragged an ink pad across to get the right colour. The flowers are from the Stampin' Up Pretties kit, dyed to match the card.
I thought this sentiment from Stampin' Up was the most appropriate.
And finally the box.
Apparently the lady loved it!!! Phew!!!
I think the set is lovely but the occasion was unfortunate!!!! The young girl in quest died very quickly from a brain tumour, I can't possibly imagine what the parents are going through, but my Thought and prayers are with them.

Mo Manning's Trinity!

I was hoping to post this last night but, Blogger has changed its designing process and to get the new look (which I'm not sure about) took forever!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway better late than never!!
I love Mo Manning Digital Pencil Images they are so cute and childlike, they really capture the characters of children beautifully.
Please let me introduce you to Trinity. I have coloured her using my Copics, which I have to now get more of as I seem to be buying more Digital Images and my Promarkers don't work that well with them. The Dotty background is something I saw on PapercraftbyRach's Blog and I have been practising it, I like these colours as they remind me of the film, Bedtime stories, where the Gumballs fall out of the sky.
Here is the card. I want to do something a little different, so made it look a little bit like a bag / satchel with the straps. I used Stampin' Up Papers, which I think are retired now.
I added a read button with linen thread.
Along with some grey buttons and linen thread, on each strap.
I wanted to add some apples to the front but it didn't look right so I put them inside. These are cut using a very old sizzix die.
I love this card, and think it would be perfect for end of year teachers cards or even for a children starting the new year. Just have a thought. Would look great reduced in size and put on a bookmark as a leaving pressie to my class ready for new year!!!!! As Mo has school boy images too it would be perfect!
Anyway the sun is shining today. can't walk far as the hip is not co-operating so may have to spend time in the Garden colouring, what hardship.
Have a lovely day all.
Hugs Sarah B X
PS: On Monday I am going to start 6 Days of a showcase of Kathy Hare's New Images available from Funky Kits now. So pop by and have a look if you are interested!!!!!!
