Cyber Night Disaster!

Friday Night was Cyber Night with the Jems, the group of SU Ladies I'm involved with. It was great. Although there were a couple of disasters. One being this card!!!!
Isn't it hideous. The challenge was to use four colours which I found really difficult!! The rest of the ladies came up with great projects.

The second Challenge was set by me. I thought it might be a good idea to use the last Stamping Set we bought and create something that was not a card, as I love my 3D projects.

Among the last set of Stamps I bought was Bundle of Joy, and baby set. So I created this hanging for a new born baby boy.
I also used the Stampin' Up Star Punch I bought too!

There was another disaster that night too! As I was sat chatting, I noticed a huge black cloud drifting over, Which made the whole area I live very dark. I thought we were in for a storm, but then realised it was smoke.
A tyre yard, near the school I work, a couple of villages away, had caught fire.
There were sirens most of the evening, and being a pyromaniac my husband had to go and see what was going on.
So house near the fire had to be evacuated and the fire is still smoldering, two days later.Fortunately no-one was hurt
We keep getting a whiff every now and again.
Thought I might get another day off school, but no luck!!

Anyway back to work tomorrow, for the last stint of the year, 7 weeks to go!!!!!!
I thought I'd leave you tonight with a sneaky peek of what I'm up to at the moment. Its a project I've been thinking about for a while..... hopefully it turns out OK!

I've used both my Bind-it-all and my Cricut machine. Its a biggy, I'll show you more tomorrow.

Tri-Shutter Card.

On Tuesday a friend showed me a picture and asked if I could do the template for her, I did but wasn't happy with it, then I came across a blog, cant remember which it was with a link to SlipCoastStampers, and there it was. Hooray!!!!!!!
It was MIL Birthday on Thursday so I made a different card, I really wanted to try out this style.

The papers are from Stampin' Up. They are from the Mini, and are called Tea Party, along with the ribbon. I was not keen at first but they are growing on me.
The cupcake and sentiment were from a new stamp set I bought from The Greeting Farm range.

I gave it a little bit of stickle to bling it up a bit. The cupcake was coloured using my Promarkers, Apple and Ivory.

This is the card opened up. Isn't it fab!

This is another image from the stamp set, Isn't she adorable, at first I thought she was wearing so weird hat, but then started colouring and realised she was holding balloons. I used Promarkers again, they are on fire this week, LOL!! (Dare I enter another card to the PFP Challenge!!!!)
Anyway I used, Pastel Pink, Mustard, Cornflower Blue, Apple, Blush and Cocoa. Then edged in Ice Grey 1 and highlighted with a white gel pen.

Then the old faithful retro flower punch layered up and some stickles!

I hope MIL likes it!!
Have a great weekend, back to work on Monday!!

More Sugar!

Another card in a different colour way. This is the second card I made for a special lady's birthday.

The papers which inspired this card were from Making Memories, Boho Chic, If I remember rightly, again had them for ages but never opened them.

Again I used the layered Tag Punches from Stampin' Up, in a slightly different way to yesterday.

No image is safe at the moment from my Promarkers. Daisy has been Promarked!!!!
I used Cool Aqua for her Jeans along with Turquoise and Marine. Her T-Shirt and flowers were coloured using Blossom, Her hair was coloured with Cocoa, and finally the leaves and grass were coloured with Marsh Green. And then outlined in
Ice Grey 1.

The ribbon I used was from my stash.

I used a similar Layout to the card I made Yesterday, but with some subtle differences.

This image is a new purchased, first time inked up, "Planting some Love". Isn't she just lovely. Again the same colours were used to keep the co-ordinations going.

I hope you like. I plan on entering the Passion For Promarker Challenge again with these latest two cards, I think its a great Challenge, I something I can take part in wholeheartedly.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look,

Ah well, some you win some you don't

Sugar! Sugar!

I think the Sugar Nellie Stamps are beautiful, and really lend themselves to be watercoloured or coloured using promarkers. Another entry for Passion for Promarkers!!
I was asked last week if I could make two cards for two sisters fro their 90 year old mother. I always find it difficult to make two different cards for different people for the same person, if you know what I mean!!!
Well this is one of the cards I came up with!

Again I used the papers as my inspiration and these are Basic Grey, which I have never opened, until today!
I thought the colours were very Vintage and appropriate for the age of the recipient but not too fuddy duddy!

I used my new goodies from Stampin' Up which came yesterday, and created the sentiment, which was printed from the computer!

Then this beautiful girl, was given the Promarker Treatment.
I used Berry Red for her top and patches, Sandstone for her trousers and hat, Forest Green for the leaves and grass, others included Pastel Yellow, Cocoa and Blush. And finally edged in Ice grey 1.

The inside of this card received special treatment considering its for a special lady.

The same colour Promarkers were used again, with the addition of Apple, for the apples. All the images were then highlighted with a White Gel Pen.

I punched out my favourite Retro Flowers, layered them up and then applied stickles to the centres. I made twenty of these and then dotted them around the card, in various places.

I'm not usually one for putting the age of people on their cards, but this is such a special milestone it need to be celebrated, so I added the 90 in a inconspicuous place

This is the centre of the card, when opened out!

I get really nervous when I make cards for other people, hoping they like it, and sometimes I really don't want to part with them. But now I have my Blog and can share my ideas and look back on what I have created.

Thanks for popping by and for all the lovely and supportive comments you take the time to leave.

Raspberry Ribbon Challenge!

Hi everybody, Well I'd enter many challenges but I really like what Mandy did this week for the Raspberry Ribbon Sketch, and as its half term I thought I'd have a go!

Not really sure whether I have done it right or not but this is my take on the Sketch.

I love the Gorjuss Girl Stamps, they lend themselves so well to being coloured with my Promarkers.

The background paper I have used was my inspiration for the colours. They are a retired set from Stampin' Up, called Fall Flowers Designer Series Paper.

The cardstock is from my stash, which matched up surprisingly well.

The ribbon, which is a must for the challenge, was also from my stash, I bought it ages ago from Hobby Craft, they sell small rolls for 49p, colours matched perfectly.

The sentiment is the Oval All Stamp Set also from Stampin' Up, with the Scallop Oval and Oval Punches.

I hope it fits in with hthe Challenge,

Thanks for stopping by

Passion For Promarkers

As most of you know I just love using my Promarkers for colouring in various images, and I love Messy Rabbit.
So when Passion For Promarkers changed their first Challenge, and I heard Joanna Sheen was sponsoring one of the Prizes whatelse could I do, but create a project using both.

This is what I created. The Images are from Joanna Sheen's Fairytale collection of Messy Rabbit.

The papers were from a pad I bought a long time ago, and as seen as its half term, I'm using stuff I've not used before, Its The Once Upon a Time Mat Stack from DCWV.
These two saying were punched out from a couple of the papers. Then layered up and 3Ded over each ribbon
The ribbons are from Stampin Up, 1/4inch Grograin, in Elegant Eggplant and Chocolate Chip

I then used a few of the papers and layered them up to create quite an elegant look. The papers are gorgeous, they are glittered and very decorative.

Now the images, These were both stamped using Memento Ink, which is brilliant for Promarkers as it doesn't bleed or run.
I used several different colours to achieve the blended colouring. For the Fariy Godmother Bunny I used Lavender, Lilac and Amethyst, along with Sandstone for the actual fur, (Blossom Pink for the inside of her ears) and Gold for her Crown and Wand. Finished off with Ice Grey 1 to outline her.
The Princess also got the Promarker Treatment. Her fur was also coloured using Sandstone, and Blossom for the inside of her ears. I then blended Cinnamon and Coral. The ermine trim was coloured using Pastel Beige, and veil was coloured with Ivory. To give the robes a glittery feel I highlighted it using a Sakura Gel Pen.

I really enjoyed coming up with this card, and it was quite a challenge making sure all the colours matched and blended.

Hope you like thank you for popping by.
