Happy First Birthday I

I was asked to make a birthday card this week, ( well two, but will share other tomorrow)! It is for a little girl who is one!

So it just had to be pink and girlie!!

I had to createt he big 1st, myself as I don't have a die big enough, and really couldn't be bothered to get the cricut out (although may have been easier). I used some pink papers I have had for ages, and Crumb Cake card from Stampin' Up. Tracy from DIes to Die for sent me some doily cut outs, which I inked with Crumb Cake ink. I tied a bow around the nunmber and that seemed to finish it off.

I used an Image from Lili of the Valley, stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock from Stampin' Up - in my opinion the best for Promarkers and I have tried lots of card - this seems to take the saturation well!

I then coloured her with my Promarkers - the green matches the green on the reverse of the paper - but didn't use it!

And here is the final creation - the Grandma was thrilled! I really like it too and have had a few more orders because of it!!

Hope you like!

Must go I have a very excited 9 year old here who needs attention - it is his birthday after all!

Take care

Happy Birthday To You!!!

I really love this image from Kenny K - its fun and such a dream to colour. This is a card I have made for an order, and the brief was not too girlie!!

I think it is just the right side of girlie without going over the top! Again Fruit Smoothie Lettering.

Believe it or not the papers were from my scrap bin!! Still trying to use up what I have!!

And a beautiful ribbon from Chocolate Stitched Stampin' Up Ribbon!!

I love this card - It was hard to sell it but hey ho!! I enjoyed making It!!

A Creative Surprise

My Project for today took me awhile but I really love it, and its for someone very special, but not til next year, so will have to keep it safe. I have used a new stamp from Sugar Nellie, available at Funky Kits. It is part of the Home Grown Manga Range and is called A Cherry on Top. It is such a sweet image, Although it is a boy, I have adapted the eyes so it looks like a girl (added some lashes) - this was because my daughter is an fab cook and I thought it would be so appropriate for her!

Here is the front of the card. The card idea came from Andrea Walford and her wonder new Site Papercrafters Library.
If you are interested pop over and have a look, unfortunately you can't get the project unless you subscribe, but it is definitely worth it!

I used Tim Holtz Alphabet Sizzlet - Vintage Market.

A gorgeous new die created this envelope pocket.

And the card was made using a new stamp from Lili of the Valley.
Then when you open up the card there is a little surprise...............
\/

A pop up cupcake!!

This was made using the Sizzix Pop-up Ball Bigz XL Die.

Isn't it fab

Andrea and Sophia are very talented.

Hope you like
