Hooray Its Here!!!!!
I have been waiting for this day for ages.
Today sees the release of Kathy Hare's Stamps and they are gorgeous, but you already know that as you should have visited all the Sugar Babes by now.
If you have started here, you need to head back to The Sugar Nellie Blog which is here, and follow the link to Dena.
Hopefully you have found me after visiting Judy, I'm sure all the creations are gorgeous, they have been really hush, hush ready for today.
Ok I waffling.
We were all given the stamps and Karen asked me to use ENTANGLED. It is gorgeous and I fell in love with it when i saw this image on Kathy's Blog.
Thanks for the Challenge Karen!! I really hope I have done it justice!!!

Well it was a challenge to colour but, once I got started, it was really easy, this was my first attempt!! Definitely one to try, especially at this time of year for all those teachers out there, this is what my hair and brain is like sometimes. I love the detail, every time I look at it there is another thought of how I can use it.
I have lots of ideas but you are going to have to wait!!!!
I have lots of ideas but you are going to have to wait!!!!
Ok Lets take a tour of my card:
I used a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket for the sentiment, but inked it using Old Olive from Stampin' Up and then dabbed some ruby coloured stickles on the edges, then I punched some leaves and added those too!
There is so much detail i this stamp, that you could really pick any of it as a theme for your card, I chose the ROSES
These are from my stash, perfect match too!!
And then a rose created using the new Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die, I added some glossy accents and then again dabbed on some stickles.
Isn't this image just divine, I really love it! The lady has a very Afro/Caribbean look to me so I coloured the skin to suit, very challenging as its the first time I have done it, and it needed to be right! It was so easy!
Here is a dimensional shot. The cardstock was Old olive and Rose red, with some designer series papers from my stash. The ribbon is from My Mind's Eye and the Stamp set is True Friend, from Stampin' Up, inked using Old Olive and Rose Red.
I have lots of ideas of how to use this image but you are going to have to wait!!!!
This is really important day so I really hope you have liked what you have seen, Now go to Funky Kits and treat yourselves and have a play, I would love to see your creations as would Karen and the rest of the team.
Have a lovely day.

ReplyDeleteYour card is BEAUTFUL!!!! I just love how you put things together. I'd love to know how to make the roses from the Tim Holtz die so if you ever have time to show it I would be so grateful. I look forward to seeing all your creations!
ReplyDeleteGoodness - what a creation & love your tour of the card & all the attention to detail. Your interpretation is a joy & my fingers are itching to colour those flowers already. Your rose embellishments are perfect in mimicking the shape of the stamped rose & that's such a lovely way of bringing the whole together. Thanks for all your hard work.
