Peaceful Weekend Fun!

Hi Everyone. You know I love my children to pieces but I do enjoy it when they go away to their Grandma's
I have had such a relaxing weekend, I have done so much but most of it I can't show you yet, but keep popping by and you see it all shortly.
Here are a few things I have been making for some friends of mine.
The stamped image is a new buy from Elzybells. Elizabeth has some fantastic new stamps out this week. They are just what you need to brighten a crafting / creative persons day.
As my regulars will know I like to use thins I have not used for a long time.
This is a sizzix box Die I have and thought it would use it to create some gifts.
These little stamps are perfect for using on your creations so people know that you have made them yourself.
I though it would be nice for people to have some special ones to put on special creations.
Isn't it such sooooo cute!!

all the details are from my stash box, of bits and pieces, (How good am I using up my scraps!!!!!)
Well the children are back so peace and quite has now gone!!!! My Darlings!!
As some of you may know I am doing a month's designing for Passion for Promarkers, as a guest, My first card has been submitted ready for Tuesday Challenge. so make sure you have a look. As pop by here for more details of the card I created.
Enjoy what is left of the weekend.
Thanks for popping by

Simply Dippy!!!!

Firstly I had to share what I did yesterday. I had a really productive day, backed all the display boards with the help of my fab TA!! And sorted out a lot of boxes from my move. Still some to do but can do that next week.
I was merrily stapling the border around a board and forgot to remove my thumb!!!!! ARGH!!!!!
You can just about see what I did!!!!
I worked for a while as a General Support Assistant , before qualifying as a teacher and part of my job was to do all the displays in a school, because of this I invested in a heavy duty wall stapler, much tougher than the usual one, plus I use galvanised chisel tipped staples so they go into the walls.

This is the point of entry.................

Exit point!!!!!!
I am so surprise it doesn't hurt, it did take me a few minuted to get it out as the other end was in the wall!!!!!!!

Well, onto my card for today!!!!

This is a much simpler card than I have made of late!

The papers I have used are from Papermania, and they are as their name suggests elegant!!

Coloured another Sugar Nellie Image using my copics!
I went to ASDA the other day to do some back to school shopping and saw this gorgeous little charm, for £1.00, and though it would make a lovely addition to a card, and can be removed to be used elsewhere.
This corner is cut from a cuttlebug die, it comes as a set of 4.

Other details about the card:
Base card: Mellow Moss from Stampin' Up
Ribbon: Grosgrain - Always Artichoke from stampin' Up and the braid, from my recent holiday.
Tag Punches: Stampin' Up
Extras: Nesties and scallop edge punch.
I Hope you like!
Enjoy today, its sunny here, might just get some washing down!!!!! Then the Ironing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfinished Cutie!!

Although this project is not complete I wanted to post it anyway.
Its almost finished apart from sentiments, which I will add later when I know who it is for.
I have used the Brenda Pinnick Die from Sizzix. Its a really nice size for a mini book.
I matted and layered the white and red, using Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock from SU along with Real Red DSP.
Not bored of this flower yet, It seems to finish off so mant projects. The ribbon is from my stash, I think it was from Hobby Craft, when they were doing a special offer as I have a few colours in this Polka Dot design.

I have used the CC Designs Swiss Pixies, They are sooooo cute. I'm in the middle of a project at the moment using the two new Stamps, they are gorgeous too!!!!
Hope you like I'm off to work this morning to sort out my new classroom and put up some displays ready for the new intake. Blimey got to get my head around things, Its been a very relaxing 6 weeks!!!!!!
Have a lovely day all

The Sugar Bowl Challenge Card

Here is a card I have made today to enter into The Sugar Bowl Challenge.
This is Judy's Sketch, which you have to follow along with adding your own handmade flowers.
Its a really simple sketch and the card was really quick to create.

Here is my creation, and talk about creating it and entering at the eleventh hour. The challenge closes tonight, Hope I'm in time.

I have used one of my favourite Sugar Nellie Stamps, and have coloured her using my Copic Ciaos. I purposely left the flowers blank, cos I like the effect.

Here are my handmade flowers using my sizzlet dies again, and SU Gem Brads.

The sentiment is from The Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, by SU, which I have not used nearly as much as I hope!! But with a whole weekend to myself who knows!!

Here is my favourite dimensional picture

Hope you like!!

Passion for Promarkers

Here is my entry for this weeks Passion for Promarkers, I still love them!!!!
I took a book on Holiday with me, and needed a book mark, so made one using one of my fav Sugar Nellie Stamps the Flower Girl from the Gorjuss Girls Set 2.
I love her she is so simple to colour and is truly beautiful.
I have used all four colour from the challenge, along with Cocoa and cinnamon for the hair.
I also love the new sizzlet die I got from Cutting Edge Craft (link in last post) and tried to make felt flowers, as a trend a the moment seems to be dimension and texture.
Here is the finished article. I think I am going to make more of these as pressies for people the are really easy to make and very quick.
Enjoy your day all.

A Bit of Summer Zing!!

Hi all, Hope you are well!
Here is another card I made on holiday. My daughter, Emily, is outwardly a confident child, with things she is familiar with, but she does have some issues with thinking she is good at anything. This holiday really highlighted that she is not at all happy about growing up. She is becoming very conscious about her developing body!!! I really am not ready for a 10 year old going through puberty!!!!!
Anyway I'm waffling!!!!! The reason I mentioned Em is because she choose the colours for this card. She has a really good eye for colour and design and is a fantastic artist, though she doesn't think so!!!

I have coloured lots of images using my new toys, I think so far this is my favourite! Don't you just Love this girl's boots!!

I have begun to experiment a little with cheek colour! I think it really makes the image stand out more!

I am trying to get Emily to make more cards and projects! Its a slow process but I really do think she has a talent, I know I'm bias!!!!! She does sneak away sometimes and create, usually acquiring things from my stash. Its amazing how much someone who doesn't like crafting ends up with in her room!! LOL !!

Card Recipe:
Base Card: from my stash
Designer Paper: My Mind's Eye
Other Card: Bazzil Bling from my stash
Image: Manga Anime, coloured with Copics (I'll remember next time I colour to jot down the colours I used)
Ink: Memento
Accessories: Orange Fibre and Buttons - My Mind's Eye Accessories; Thread - SU

Hope you have enjoyed.

This was my first attempt.
I was really impressed how well the copics blended together with very little effort!

Sorry!!!!

Blimey It's lovely to go on holiday but there is so much to do when you get home!!!!!
Well fortunately the weather was fantastic almost 2 weeks of blue skies and sunshine, unfortunately that means I didn't get as many flowers as I had hoped.
Here are the ones I made!
Some are felt and some are paper. I bought a Spellbinder Butterfly while I was away, so have done some of these as well.
Right then the candy give away will end tomorrow night at 6pm and I'll announce the winner soon afterwards. All of those lovely people who have entered so far will be included, just thought I'd give you a bit more time now you know what you are getting!
See you tomorrow with some projects I completed while I was away and a revelation!!!!!!
Thanks for popping by, Hugs Sarah B X
PS: The die for these flowers Is a set of three dies from Sizzix, they are sizzlits, I bought them from Cutting Edge Craft, they done have a specific title. Here is the link

I'm On Holiday

Hopefully even thought I leave for The Isle of Whight Today, this has been posted, I am planning on many projects being posted while I'm away, if the scheduling works out.
Ok so you should be looking at a card I made using the Manga Anime Boy Stamp from Sugar Nellie, I've nicknamed him Cameron cos this is just the sort of look my son goes for!!!LOL!!!
He really looks like he is hiding something, with that innocent look, don't you think!!

The papers are from My Mind's Eye, everyone seems to be using them at the moment cos they are gorgeous.

This sentiment is from Stampin' Up, part of the Sincere Salutations Set! The ribbon is from the new Anita's Range.

Again there are lots of layers, using some various shades of Blue Bazzill Bling, edges are inked with Brocade Blue, from Stampin' Up. The stars are ounched using, yes, the Stampin' Up Star Punch.

I hope you like, and I hope this post has been scheduled ok!

A Little Holiday Blog Candy!!

Don't you just love these gorgeous embellishment people are adding to their projects??
I know its difficult to always afford these added extras to make your cards look extra special, so I have thought a way to share them with people is to give some away!
While I'm on holiday, the forecast not being brilliant, I plan on taking my crafting stash, some of it any way.
I'm going to make at least 4 of these flowers every day!!!! A good past time for those wet evenings in a caravan!!!!
When I come back I am going to then give them away!!!!
What do you have to do??
Leave a comment on every post I schedule while I'm away, 8th-22nd August, 2009
Enjoy!
