A Gift for A Special Friend

Hello everyone, hope you are all well. I had my second visit to the dentist, the infection is gone but I have a lot of work to do now to make sure it doesn't return and to deal with the gum disease.
My buttocks are badly bruised after my fall, so sitting down is hard work as is standing, walking and driving, but Hey Ho!! Life only get better, it can't get much worse.
Right then onto today project. I saw this project on the Whiff of Joy Blog and on PapercraftsbyRach, and really loved it, so I had to make one.

Here is the concertina inside, very high but it does squash down

I created some flowers from circles, I'm enjoying this technique again!!

I also added a label, from a new die, the Big Tag one by Tim Holtz!!

I used a new stamp, which I inked up for the first time from Lili of the Valley.

And here is the completed project. I put some ticket stamps and a matching die, for my best bud's birthday pressie, yesterday!!!!!!!
Hope you like
Take care
See you tomorrow

My May Page

Good Evening everyone, and little later than I had planned but here is my post for today. As the title says it's my May Page. I have used a Greeting Farm Stamp, from the Later Ska8er stamp set, and I bought it from Dies to Die For

Here is the complete Layout. Simple but I really did enjoy creating this calendar!! The papers are from MME - Lil Robots, and the Punches are from Stampin' Up!!!!!

Hope you like.

Make sure you come back tomorrow as I have a card to share for Anyone for Anya and I'm really excited to share it!!!!!

I was planning on sharing my new toy with you all today but unfortunately it would seem that my run of bad luck and poor health is getting the better of me!!!!!
I have finally gotten over the gum problems and am now free of mouth pain, then started with a cold on Thursday Night, which I can live with, but then today on my way downstairs I slipped and fell. I am now in a lot of pain with my back, sitting is difficult and I just want to cry, again. All I can ask myself is what is going to happen next!!!!!!!

Anyway have a lovely evening, I'm going to get myself settled and comfortable to watch Tudors!!!

See you all tomorrow

DT Card

Good Morning!!!!! Its Friday!!!!!!! It seems a long time getting here too!
Here is my card for today.
I have used one of the lovely new stamps from Sugar Nellie, available at Funky Kits. She is called Verity. I quite like the Head stamps as opposed to the whole body ones!! There is so much detail, these bigger stamps really seem to capture it beautifully.
Not a promarker in sight either, I used a distressing ink pad and gave her the vintage treatment.

I continued the vintage look by distressing some spellbinder flowers, and I used Tim Holtz's Tattered Leaves.

A bit of SU Ribbon and embellishment later and I'm done.
Make sure you pop over to Funky Kits and have a browse at the other adorable stamps available.
Take care
I'll be back with my new toy makes tomorrow as make sure she stop by to have a look!!

DT Simply Sassy

I sorry I have failed miserably and didn't post yesterday.
I was dragged to the dentist, to be told I have Chronic Gum Disease, I have 2 courses of Antibiotics, pain killers and it cost £90. OMG when did dentists get so expensive!!!!!!!!
I have to go back next week, but they have said that it should be sortable through an intensive dental hygiene programme!!
Anyway There was a Simply Sassy Blog Hop this week with some fab new designs, here is one I have made!!!
She is called WINDSWEPT and I love her. She is available to buy now at Funky Kits here.
I used a Martha Stewart Lattice punch, some yummy new papers, and bits and piece from my stash.

These flowers are made using various circle punches, scrunched together, and layers.
Right I have to dash to work now, so have a good day.
Take care

My April Page

I have some many stamps it was really difficult to decide which to use. I really love this one. I originally bought it as a digi, but then The Greeting Farm released it as rubber so I had to have it!!
I am also loving the new DSP from Stampin' Up, so they had to be used too!

The Film Strip is a Tim Holtz Sizzlet Strip, its a bit different but I like it. The flowers are made using the Stampin' Up Trio Flowers punch and my April Page is complete!!

Hope you like.

Back to work today!!!!!!!

Anyone for Anya - 2 Images

Here is my card for this weeks Anyone For Anya Challenge:
2 IMAGES
I have used the Miss Anya Stamps, not inked these up for a while but as It was Emily's Best Friend's Birthday and she was 12, I think it needed a more grown up image and these really do fit the bill

I coloured them using my promarkers and the blender pen, I spent a while picking up the colour with the blender pen and creating a watercolour effect.

I used some papers Tracy sent me from Dies to Die for.

I also created a cover personalised notebook for her.

Hope you like.

Make sure you pop along to Anyone for Anya and check out the fabulous prize on offer if you enter, you will also see lots of Inspiration

Have a go and Good Luck

My March Page

I thought I'd share with you today The March Pager of our family calendar!
Now this was Cameron's choice as his birthday is at the end of March!
If you follow my blog you may remember that a while ago I made a card for a friend of Cam's and here came up with the words, well he want ed the same thing on his page.
The image is, of course, Lili of the Valley, the papers are Stampin' Up, and the lettering is from a set of alphabet stamps I bought years ago from the Papermill, they were only 99p and I bought about 8 different styles, I love them!!

Here is the completed Page. The cookies were made using circle and scallop punches, really simple.

Hope you like.

Have you ever had a time when although life is fine, you feel like crap and it seems to be one illness after the other. Well thats me at the moment!! The other night when I thought I was over all the mishaps and feeling rotten, I began to suffer from excruciating tooth ache, well gum ache. It really hurts the most after I have been talking for a while, occupational hazzard as a teacher!!
I have a real phobia of dentists!! And although hubby keeps wanting to make an appointmetn I really can't face going, so am on painkillers, sensydine toothpaste and corsodyl mouthwash, hoping that it will go away!!
How can I be so stupid at 40yrs, are well I'll go now and suffer in silence!!!!
Thanks for reading my rantings and thank you for all your kind thoughts of my hand which is now fine!!

Take care and have a lovely Saturday

Something a Little DIfferent

I was playing the other night, and wanted to try something I have never done before, created a card with no layers. I used an image recently released from Lili of The Valley, She is called POM POM, and stamped her in the corner of a plain white card. I coloured her with my promarkers.

I also used a promarker to create the sky, but blenders it give it a dappled effect.

The sentiment is also from Lili of The Valley, which i did layer, as I didn't want to spoil my image by printed the sentiment wrong.

I created some flowers and added them with some leaves.

Hope you like

Take care.

An Inspired Card........

I have been playing with photoshop!! Only had the computer for 5 years!!!!!! I love this effect. I was so impressed with Ali's card for this fortnight's Sugar Bowl challenge, I had to have a go.

I loved creating today's card, although I was very paranoid with making sure my fingers were clean!

I used a digi image from CC Designs, "Sweetheart Birgitta" She is now available as a stamp from Dies to Die for, which i have bought, as I do prefer rubber. She is so sweet. Thanks Ali I love this look!!!!

Everything apart from the image, all the element are made form the same cardstock, slightly off-white. I die cut a circle and then embossed it, using a cuttlebug embossing folder.

I then die cut a lace scallop circle. The mat underneath has been punched using a Martha Stewart Border and corner punch. I finally created the flowers using various circle punches, crumpled them and layered them using a gem brad. I then added some leaves!

Here is the finished card.

I hope you like.

I feel really pathetic today. I hurt my hand at work and I keep catching it, I can't hold a dinner fork, and am really feel sorry for my self!!!!!!

Take care

A Very Male Card.......

I have made another very male card!!! The papers are the same as yesterday , from Dies to Die for. The Image is from Greeting Farm. SO cute. I really like this vintage look, especially with the distressed edges!
The "Happy Birthday" is a sentiment from Stampin' Up. The Ribbon is also from Stampin' Up, I tied it using some linen thread, tying a bow didn't seem very manly!
Here you go the finished card!! The photo corners are my new purchase this month from Stampin' Up.
Hope you like
Take Care and Have a good day
Sorry my post is very short and sweet, have had a headache for the last two days and then to cap it all I trapped my hand between a PE bench and a water pipe!!! Not really my day today!!

A Cool Dude!!

Its seems ages since I posted a DT card for Sugar Nellie, but I am still doing it, despite having cut back on my DT positions, Sugar Nellie was my first, and I am still thrilled to be a part of this innovative and inspirational company.

This is a sentiment from Lilli of the Valley, which seemed to go well with this image and colour combo! I have mounted it on a Spellbinders label and attached it with SU Ribbon!

The Image is LAID BACK DUDE, from Sugar Nellie and is available from Funky Kits as part of a set . He really is laid back, and has a very LOWRIE feel to him!

Here is the final card. I really felt the vintage look worked well. The papers are some I purchased recently from Tracy at Dies to Die for - Lost and Found - Union Square - Home Sweet Home - Collage from MME, they are luscious!!!!!
Oh the extra bit of detail under the image, was a die cut I used, its a Tim Holtz Negative Sizzlet Strip. I then layered some DP underneath then over stamped and inked the edges.
This card is for my TA, he is so frustrated at the moment as the child he works with is particularly difficult!!

My February Page

Well here I am again, This is the image I used for my February Page.

Emily's Birthday is February so she got to choose her image, only wanted a dancer, so I picked this new stamp from Lili of The Valley, first inking too!
I wanted to do something different with the colouring so chose colours to match the DSP from Stampin' Up and bled them together! - Pumpkin and Hot Pink!

Here is the completed page, again I used the Sizzlet set to create the Title and other Stampin' Up Goodies - Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Stitched Grosgrain and a luscious button.

Hope you like

Take care and have a good day.

Anyone for Anya - Pretty Bows

Yes I'm here, I haven't forgotten to post, Blimey I can't believe I have managed to post everyday so far!!!! Thanks for all the visitors and lovely comments from everyone who popped by to have a browse at my creations.

Here is my card for this weeks Anyone for Anya Challenge: Pretty Bows. I have used the girl from the recently new set from The Greeting Farm called Fuzzy Wuzzy, I got it from Dies to Die for, Tracy is fabulous and the service I have to say is second to none.
I was a little unsure whether this was a little OTT but it is growing on me!! it took me ages to make sure each end of the ribbon was long enough to tie a bow once it was threaded through the Nestie.

The papers are from Stampin' Up - Sweet and Sour, I love them!!!! The ribbon is from my stash.
I hope you like!!
Now make sure you head over to the Challenge Blog. The prize is $15 to spend at Simon Says and the rest of the DT have some fabulous inspiration.
Take care
