Waiting for Santa

I'm back. Blimey what a couple of weeks it has been.
First I was ill with swine flu and let me tell you it was a swine as well!!!!
Then went back to work on the most stressful day of the year. My Year group performed 3 times in one day and we didn't finish work til after 7.00pm!!
The children were fantastic and everyone really enjoyed the performance which was called Rock around Christmas. I wish I could share photos but cant due to permission and stuff.
Then Monday night Hubby ended up at A & E with Cameron, my youngest cos he was rolling around his bed with chronic stomach pains, turned out to be constipation!!! They got home at 3.30am so were both extremely tired then next day.
Then if that wasn't enough my daughter, Emily, came home from school, poorly on Tuesday. I was really worried thinking it was going to be swine flu. She had a temperature felt sick, was extremely tired, but ate like a horse!!!! When we woke up the following morning she had conjunctivitis!! So had to have another day off and administer eye drops, which she frequently tells me she hates me for!!!
Oh the lot of a working mother, Roll on Christmas!!!
Anyway if there are any people left reading here is my share for today. I am so behind with everything. This card and project has been made for one of Emily's Teachers, Mrs. Barclay (nicknamed Sparkly for Christmas)

I have used the WAITING FOR SANTA Stamp from Sugar Nellie, which was released in November. I really have enjoyed this stamp and have to say it could be used throughout winter as there isn't any obvious Christmas reference on it!
The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up Set called Season of Joy and is still available from a demonstrator (have a look at my side bar!)

I colour the image using my Promarkers, I have really got back into the swing of things and my creativity is better too!

I cut my image down and matted it onto a piece of Bazzil Bling from my stash, which I cut using a nestie.
Here is a dimensional shot.

While I was ill I had to cheer myself up and during a bit of browsing found some new Sizzix goodies. I could not resist this gorgeous box die.
The box dies they are making at the moment are lovely and good sizes. This one holds about 4 Lindor Chocolates, probably more but that's all i put in!!!
Hope you have enjoyed my bits today, Hope you are all well and not getting too frazzled by the Christmas Preparations.
Thank you for popping by and take care.
Hugs Sarah B X

  2. Glad you're feeling better and that you feel creative again. Have missed your work.

The card is great but it's the box that has caught my eye. I've been looking at this die for a while and wondering about the size etc (as I could only find the dimensions for the die itself and not the actual box!) and though 'I wonder if Sarha has that one?' I guess you've answered my question.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Paul

  3. Thanks for the info Sarah - much appreciated. Crafty Devils have a sale on their XL dies right now and so am tempted. Both the Carry All and the Popcorn box are on sale for 19.89 each. Maybe I should hold off until after Christmas though!
    Thanks,
    Paul
P.S. I meant 'Sarah' in my previous post, not 'Sarha'!!!
