Arghhhhhh!!!!!!
I'm getting to the point that I will be glad to see the back of 2010. The last few weeks have been awful!!!!!
Not only was my school closed for a week because of the snow the roads and pavements were so bad we were snowed into our road!!!!.
Then just when you think its all going and life is getting back to normal, a mains pipe burst at school and we had a major flood to deal with so have been closed for a further week.
I'm hoping everything will be good to go back today. So as a result we have had to cancel everything we had planned for Christmas with the children and make do!!!!
Then I think my computer is slowly dying as everything seems to be taking forever to load, if it loads at all!!!!!
Well enough of the moaning and whinging!!!!!
Here is my contribution to this weeks Anyone for Anya - Its a colour Challenge with the them Shabby Chic Christmas, make sure you head over to see what the DT have come up with to inspire you and to see what prize is on offer.
I used a new image by CC Designs, called Bauble Emma, but cropped the image to fit my card design.
I stamped some yummy baubles from a new Stamping Up, punched out, glitter and embellished with pearls.
Here is the completed card, I distressed the mats and layered them up alternating Craft, blue and pink. A little taffeta ribbon late, and this is the final result. Unfortunately I was so exhausted from the clean up I didn't get it finished til Sunday, hence why its not on the Blog. But the girls have worked so hard I had to post to support them.
Anyway here is to a better week and hopefully, fingers crossed it'll be a smooth ride til Christmas.

Lovely card Sarah, great colour scheme...I'm also enjoying working with craft paper. It's a pain with the weather and schools having been off just now....I feel like I'm 3 weeks behind with the run up to Christmas...won't be so many handmade gifts this year!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah. Beautiful card, love the colours and image. Sorry to hear things haven't been going well. Snow is nice to look at but it certainly does a lot of disruption. Our schools were closed for two days. Donna
