Mingle and Mix with a Fairy Wish!

Here is another card from the stamps I received in my Sugar Nellie Design Team Kit. Its one of Six Christmas Manga Stamps you can buy over at Funky Kits.
These images are adorable, and so easy to colour.
I was sorting out lots of stuff and came across these old Christmas papers I bought last year. Not my usual colours but I thought I might have a try. I quite like the result but not sure its me.

This sentiment is from a stamp set from Stampin' Up called Perfect Presents.

I cut her out using a nestie. Several people have asked me how I cut her so she looks like she is sitting on the edge. It is really easy. You cut her legs out using scissors, and the when you lay your image down with the nestie on top just make sure the legs are on top of the Nestie. Ill take some photos to show it more clearly. But it'll have to wait til I make another one.

Hope you like.
Have a great day.

Falling Leaves!!

This is another image from Sugar Nellie's Autumn Stamp Set.
Its great to have a boy image. I think this one really shows the inquisitiveness of children particularly boys, they always seem to enjoy nature.
I used the new Christmas Papers from My Minds Eye, again, there is such a selection in these collections, different colours and textures.

This picture shows the glitter on the paper really well, along with the Adage Label from Tim Holtz

These cute leaves are also part of the Autumn Stamps from Sugar Nellie and compliment to main images.
I stamped three coloured them and then cut them out.

I also stamped the leaf onto the nestie mat behind the main image. I think the way the embossing looks on the main image and mat, is very reminiscent of the old fashioned wooden frames portraits were put many years ago.

I hope you like this card, It is very simple to achieve the effect of layers and detail, just by layering different papers at different angles.
I have made another card from my Design Team Kit but I will share it another day, its a bit different.
Take care,

An Apple a Day!!!

Here is another card made using a CC Design Image. I do like them, they are great to colour cos the images are so clear and bold.
I really do like this colour combination.
The papers are from Stampin' Up, the ribbon from my stash.

I created this basket from weaving thin strips of card, It was very fiddly, but worth the effect! The I filled it with apples.

I stamped the cardstock, using the apple stamp and real red ink. Then i stamped more apples using memento and coloured them using my copics this time.

This dimensional shot really shows the basket well.
Hope you like
Have a good day

Another Design Team Card

I am really enjoying being a Design Team Member for Sugar Nellie.
The Stamps are gorgeous and the quality is fantastic.
This is another Stamp I received recently. This one is from the Autumn Kit. It has Four gorgeous main images and four complimentary, smaller images.
They are all very clear, crisp images, (I wish the same could be said about my photo!!!). The Papers I have used are from My Mind's Eye, Christmas Collection.
I used a Nestie to cut the image out and then layered it up onto two larger cuts, using Bazzil Bling!

I also used a sizzix die to cut out the snow flake. It is gorgeous you get both small and large snowflake on one medium die! I attached these using various brads. The above one is a space and brad. The spacer is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, and the brad is from Stampin' Up.
The brad below is also from Stampin' Up.

I tied a piece of Anita's ribbon around the card, and tied it in a different way, then using some jump rings attached a snowflake charm, which again I purchased from
Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of My Mind's Eye Christmas Paper, and then trimmed. The stamp is actually one I bought a year ago, its a magnolia!
I really do hope you like it. I have another card to show, nearly finished. Will save that for another day. But the project after that will be different! Hopefully.
Take care, thanks for popping by

My Challenge Project!!

Well here is My final Project as Guest Designer over at Passion for Promarkers.
This weeks challenge was chosen by me.....
Marine and Emerald plus anything BUT a card.
I decided these colours called for a Boys project so I inked up my Skater Boy from The Greeting Farm, and coloured him in the chosen colours. I used A turquoise cardstock, from my stash, but Stampin' Up's Tempting Turquoise would match well. I also used Green Galore as various mats plus Rainbow Sherbet Paper, unfortunately retired after Sept 30th.
I also decoupaged him up, although not very obviously.

I used one of Lauren Meader's Templates, and her idea for a handle. A really ingenious way to use cheap clips. The ribbon is from my stash.

I extended the front and mounted the Skater Boy on the front, mounted on a nestie.

I used a square of velcro to hold the flap down.

Here is the inside of the box. Its so useful for holding bits and pieces. My plan for this box is to hold my son's football cards, they are everywhere.

Well now its time to look at the rest of the Design Teams Creations along with the prize you could win if you enter this weeks challenge.
Have fun.

Classy Emma

Here is Emma again!
This is the card, we made at my class on Thursday night and believe it or not, but I had to wing it.
I love these papers from Stampin' Up. There are called Junior Varsity, but unfortunately the are retiring and will no longer be available after September 30th.
The colour combination is So Saffron, Old Olive, Rose Red, and Bashful Blue.
I teamed these SU Colours up with, Marsh Green, Ruby and Cornflower from Promarkers.
This button which holds the card in position was created using various circle punches and the top one was punched using a new Set called Circle Circus.
I Hope you like.
For those of you who love promarkers and Stampin' Up, pop back later this week and have a look at what I have been working on. Hopefully you will find it useful!
Don't forget tomorrow is my challenge choice over at Passion for Promarkers, its a real doozie!! so pop over and have a look at the Design Teams creations.
I'll post more details of my creation here tomorrow!!
Have a Lovely Monday!!

Meet Mummy Trevor!!

Isn't he adorable! He is one of the new arrivals from CC Designs, available from Dies to Die For.
There are lots of little detail on this card, and I have used many different sets of stamps which have been collected over the years.
Don't think he will scare anyone, but He'd definitely fir in at any Halloween Party, or Trick n' Treat Night
He is his friend Owl (not from the same stamp set) to add to Fright Night!
I really do love Halloween, and think its a real shame we can't do things at school based on this occasion!
I also love this style of card which was introduced to me by my SU Sister, Sarah-Jane. It is just so different!!!
Hope you like,
Have a lovely Sunday

My First Sugar Nellie Design Team Card!

At last here it is. I was so excited on Thursday when my packet arrived. But frustrated as I was at work and had card classes so was unable to play until this afternoon.

As its my first card I had to celebrate, so I treated myself to a new Nestie Die, a new Martha Stewart Punch, My Hubbie bought me an early birthday present (a complete set of the New Promarkers) - all of which have been used on this card.

I really hope you think it has been worth the wait!!!

This cutie sentiment is from a booklet I bought from a craft shop. Its from the Tim Holtz Collection.

This is just one of a set of six stamps, Sugar Nellie have released, Christmas Manga available at Funky Kits, and is called Mistletoe. I gave it the Promarker Treatment, new colours - Cardinal Red for the girls dress and tights; Caramel for the hair; Khaki for the boys trousers. The other colours are from the original collection - Marsh Green, Black and Ice Grey 5.

This is a really lush organza ribbon I have in my stash, but matched all the colours perfectly.

I have even treated the inside to some special nestie cut outs!

And Finally a dimensional shot!

I wanted to keep the card simple, as the stamp is so cute, I didn't want it over shadowed.
If you like please pop by again, I have more to show!!!

Christmas Cards!!!!!

Blimey You really know Christmas is close when you get back into the routine of school!!!!
We are already looking at decorating corridors and what to perform!!!!
Not long Now!!!

These are the Cards my class came up with on Tuesday. Thanks Sarah-Jane for showing this great design. They loved it.
They all had access to the same papers and Stamp sets, from Stampin Up.
I also made cards at school today with some Year 6s. Which turned out really well.
I have another class tonight. A Colour Study. I'm planning on creating 2 cards in the same style with the same stamps but different colours, one in primary and one in secondary colours. Hopefully will turn out successfully.
Enjoy your evening.

Trevor is Ready for Autumn

Here is another one of my new buys. My plan for the coming year is to buy more male stamps. I have lots of girlie ones.
So here is Trevor, from CC Designs. I think he is a cutie!!

The papers are from Stampin Up.

Not much else to say about this card. Similar techniques were used to create it as Mondays.
Had a ready busy day today. Been to Birmingham from Mansfield. To do some 1to1 Tutor training. I think my brain is overloaded.

Nice Lunch though!!!

Hopefully will upload and post some pictures from the Christmas Card Class I did yesterday based on the card one of my gorgeous SU Sisters made, it is great!!
