all sewn up.....

Well between Blogger, Broadband and my computer, Technology at the moment is really frustrating! Either the computer is too slow and nothing is happening or blogger decides not to save stuff.

Anyway here is my challenge card for Anyone for Anya!!

This week's challenge is Sewing - Real or Faux.

I went for real!! Not done thisd for ages but I quite enjoyed it and went a bit OTT!!!

I used an Anya Image from The Greeting Farm (Tracy has a good deal on this at the moment, check it out, its called Spotlight).

I'm not 100% happy with the new card I bought at Doncaster, it seems to make my colouring and images look grainy!! Well, you have to try these things!!

Also used up a few odds of ribbon, and added a sentiment, with stitching!!

Here is my final card, I love the colours together, the paper is from Dies to die for too, Echo Park's Summertime, so fresh and summery.

Hope you like
Check out the
Challenge Blog for more inspiration and a fab prize, and have a go!!

a challenge card thats way too late...........

With all the problems I have been having with my computer I didn't realise that a couple of my posts were missing.

Here is a set I created for Anyone For Anya, a couple of weeks ago, Its for Father's Day.

I used The Greeting Farm Image Later Skater cos I think it suit my Hubby!!

I made a matchbox, Milkcarton and Card, all using the same image and papers and colours - Bravo Burgundy, Tempting Turquoise (Stampin' Up) and Lil' Robots Papers from MME

I have really gone OTT with the Gears, cos Hubby is an engineer and always got his hands dirty.

Here is a sentiment from LOTV, so suitable for any occasion.

Here is the card.

More Gears

Not content with them being on the out side I put some on the inside!!

Oh.....

I love this sentiment from LOTV, so useful for everything!!

Love this Creepin' Crew Image from The Greeting Farm, she looks really awkward, so I had to put her on a pretty card, rather than the obvious grungy one!!

She is called Abbey, I love her pigeon toes and shocked expression!!

Quick post, hope you like

some more goodies.....

As I was playing with more goodies I created a card using Stampin' Up cardstock, no patterned paper!!!

I used a sizzix die and a CC Design Image - limited stash!!!!

I just love these Brigitta Images Christine has been creating, they are a really nice size for colouring!!Here I used some Stampin' Up punches to created the tag and an old favourite stamp set for the sentiment - Circle of Friendship!!

You can also see I have used the basket weave embossing folder, and a sizzix dotty folder (not the SU one!), and I did some tearing!

Here is the card! The colours I used were Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler, with a hint of Early Expresso.

And then I created a basket, using a Sizzix Pro Die and embossing it with the basket weave folder so it really looks like a basket!!

Hope you like

Thanks for all your comments recently I do appreciated it and although I do visit people who comment I must make more time to comment back!!

Take care All

A Colour Challenge..........

I'm not always good with colour challenges , and this new one from Anyone for Anya was a challenge!! Which I loved cos I've been feeling a bit uninspired recently!!

So I thought, right, lets look at the colours..... I used the bun colour as the base - More Mustard from Stampin' Up and inked a complete card blank. The grass and leaves were inspired by the lettuce, the red, obviously the tomatoes / or ketchup, and the creamy colour the mayo!!!!!. Then final the burger colour was used behind the image - Early Expresso!!
This sentiment is from Lili Of the Valley.
The image is again Brigitta from CC Designs! And the scroll pattern in the background is my fav Stampin' Up one - Baroque Motif! And here is the complete card. My friends think its funny that I call it my "Burger Inspired Card"
Just goes to show you can be inspired by anything if you look closely enough.

So do you want a go, head over to Anyone for Anya and check out the inspiration, the fabulous prize up for grabs - from the Cutting Cafe! - and have a go yourself!!!! What could you use for sesame seeds and what about that holey cheese!!

Have fun the sun is shining and I'm off to Doncaster to spend some pennies at Which Craft Craft Show.

Take care

some goodies.....

I was having a play the other day with some white card and embossing folders, which to my shame I hadn't used. I then looked through my scrap box and found a small piece of turquoise bazzil cardstock.I then used the Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise ink and went for it!! I used the ink to pick out the embossed detail, which was great!

This was a freebie embossing folder from a magazine subscription, loyal customer gift!! It is so pretty! especially with the added bling. I used the Stampin' Up border punch and the three flower punch (this one is no longer available!)

I love this sentiment too!!

I created a tag......

The final milk carton!! (I love it)

I also created a card, using the Brigitta Image from CC Designs. She is so sweet.I paper pieced her clothes but used a promarker to add shading!

These cards I made with the bits and pieces which were left over!!

Its amazing what you can created with little card, a couple of embossing folders and a few embellishments.

Hope you like

a special birthday....

We celebrated a special birthday at my school this week. My TA was 60.

The teacher I work with in Year 3 and I treated her to some goodies.

She is a fab TA, and retires next year, not really sure what we will do! She is old school and know exactly what to do and when, needing very little direction. She also runs our gardening club with the children so I thought this image would be perfect!

Here is the completed card, all the cardstock and ribbon is from Stampin' Up. I decided to use the colours when I opened my delivery last week and these coloured ribbons were together!!

I also decided that I want to make some special packaging for her little goodies. So Her present consisted of Chocolates, Hot Chocolate Packets, Some Smellies and some Jewellery.

The flowers were made using an old SU Punch stuck with some punched leaves and gems.

On the top of each milk carton I made (Bigshot Pro Size) I put a different sentiment from SU.

Here is the finished Pack - I really liked it and didn't want to give it away, but she is worth it.

Hope you like

Take care all
