Mo Manning's Trinity!

I was hoping to post this last night but, Blogger has changed its designing process and to get the new look (which I'm not sure about) took forever!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway better late than never!!
I love Mo Manning Digital Pencil Images they are so cute and childlike, they really capture the characters of children beautifully.
Please let me introduce you to Trinity. I have coloured her using my Copics, which I have to now get more of as I seem to be buying more Digital Images and my Promarkers don't work that well with them. The Dotty background is something I saw on PapercraftbyRach's Blog and I have been practising it, I like these colours as they remind me of the film, Bedtime stories, where the Gumballs fall out of the sky.
Here is the card. I want to do something a little different, so made it look a little bit like a bag / satchel with the straps. I used Stampin' Up Papers, which I think are retired now.
I added a read button with linen thread.
Along with some grey buttons and linen thread, on each strap.
I wanted to add some apples to the front but it didn't look right so I put them inside. These are cut using a very old sizzix die.
I love this card, and think it would be perfect for end of year teachers cards or even for a children starting the new year. Just have a thought. Would look great reduced in size and put on a bookmark as a leaving pressie to my class ready for new year!!!!! As Mo has school boy images too it would be perfect!
Anyway the sun is shining today. can't walk far as the hip is not co-operating so may have to spend time in the Garden colouring, what hardship.
Have a lovely day all.

PS: On Monday I am going to start 6 Days of a showcase of Kathy Hare's New Images available from Funky Kits now. So pop by and have a look if you are interested!!!!!!

Rockin' Hot Stuff!

This image is the last of the Manga Stamps which Sugar Nellie have release recently, they are all available over at Funky Kits
They are fab images, which would suit teenagers.
I have kept the card very simple. Using papers from my stash, a bit of Organza Ribbon, and coloured image.

The sentiment is from the new Roll Call Set, from The Greeting Farm.
Quick post, sorry but am heading off to work.
Have a lovely day,

A "Cool" DT Card

This is an image from the new Mangas. SPORTY, available from Funky Kits now. He really does look sporty too!! Not a lot to say about the card. Its very simple.
The image is coloured using my Promarkers. I have used the blender pen to add the highlights, which look quite effective.
This sentiment is from the New Roll Call Stamp Set from the Greeting farm. Punched out using a Star Punch from Stampin' Up.
I created the background by punching out more stars and doodling on the edges. I added some pieces of Tim Holtz Paper I had left from another project. I added a paperclip with ribbon threaded and that's about all.
Hope you like have a lovely day.

Sugar babes Blog Hop!

We are having another little friendly blog hop.
The Sugar babes and myself have got together to showcase the new Kathy Hare images, released by Sugar Nellie, they are available now at Funky Kits.
I fell in love with them all the moment I saw them. It was really difficult to choose which image to use, but with a little help, I decided on this one. LITTLE BEAR.
I have been wanting to have a play with some distressing inks, so went for a quick make!!!!!! I stamped the images using Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
I then used a water colour brush and just dragged out the colour. I also went back when it had dried and added a little darker tones, this has given the image some texture I think!
Here is a tag and sentiment all using Stampin' Up Stuff! The ribbons were from my stash.
And the finished card..........

I used a nestie to cut out the image and water coloured some very faint hills in the background.

I created the background using a Stampin' Up stamp and the Faded Jeans ink, over the top I used some white ink. It was then finished off with inked up edges.
I hope you like, It is very different for me.......... NO PROMARKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have a lovely day, make sure you visit the rest of the Sugar babes, their creations are sure to be gorgeous.
I have scheduled this post so am now off to bed.

Meet Audrey - Honourary Member of the Roll Call Set

She is a cute. I recently bought the Roll Call Set from The Greeting Farm, this isn't one of those images, its a digi image, but I really do think it suits the set and I couldn't resist. I coloured her using my Copics, as my Promarkers don't work well with my printer ink!!!

I then dug out some old Making Memories Papers, which matched the colour scheme.

This sentiment is from Stampin' Up as are the Tag Punches. The Brad however was made using my i-top. I stuck a co-ordinating piece of ribbon on the punch out before squeezing it into the brad daddie.

I also created a plain brad without the ribbon. I also punched out some Brad blank papers, sanded them and created a flower (thanks Marlene).

And there you are a finished card.

I'm back at work today, so this is a scheduled post!!!!

I have many cards planned this week.

Tomorrow is our friendly group Blog Hop, the Sugar Babes get together once a fortnight to show off some creations, so make sure you pop by.

After that I have a series of cards to show using the new Kathy Hare Images, from Sugar Nellie, available now at Funky Kits.

So a busy week planned and that's before I go to work.

Have a lovely week, hope the weather improves too!

Take care

Meet Miss Rose, isn't she a sweetie.

I my haste at being invited to join the Sugar Bowl, I dashed off, coloured this image and created this side step card. Image the horror at my stupidity when i realised I'd not taken any notice of the sketch. Ah well, It was a DT Card made.

I love the pink, black and white theme.
Papers: Night and Day from Stampin' Up
Cardstock: White hammered and Pink Pearlescent - both from my stash.
Sentiment: Stampin' Up
Embellishments: curled roses from pink pearlescent, ribbon - Stampin' Up

I added some little pearls to the centre of the flowers and some punched leaves.

I also created a little gift box to go with it.

Hope you like.

Well it was a challenge to colour but, once I got started, it was really easy, this was my first attempt!! Definitely one to try, especially at this time of year for all those teachers out there, this is what my hair and brain is like sometimes. I love the detail, every time I look at it there is another thought of how I can use it.
I have lots of ideas but you are going to have to wait!!!!
Ok Lets take a tour of my card:
I used a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket for the sentiment, but inked it using Old Olive from Stampin' Up and then dabbed some ruby coloured stickles on the edges, then I punched some leaves and added those too!
There is so much detail i this stamp, that you could really pick any of it as a theme for your card, I chose the ROSES
These are from my stash, perfect match too!!
And then a rose created using the new Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die, I added some glossy accents and then again dabbed on some stickles.
Isn't this image just divine, I really love it! The lady has a very Afro/Caribbean look to me so I coloured the skin to suit, very challenging as its the first time I have done it, and it needed to be right! It was so easy!
Here is a dimensional shot. The cardstock was Old olive and Rose red, with some designer series papers from my stash. The ribbon is from My Mind's Eye and the Stamp set is True Friend, from Stampin' Up, inked using Old Olive and Rose Red.

I have lots of ideas of how to use this image but you are going to have to wait!!!!
This is really important day so I really hope you have liked what you have seen, Now go to Funky Kits and treat yourselves and have a play, I would love to see your creations as would Karen and the rest of the team.
Have a lovely day.

Busy! Busy! Busy!

Really late posting this card today, have been sorting out stuff. Blimey glad I'm on hols at the moment.
This is the second image from the Roll Call Set I purchased recently from Dies to Die For ( Prayers to Tracy and her family). Its brilliant value for money, 10 images and several sentiments (can't remember how many exactly.
Let me introduce to you Jade.
Instant Goth Look, I thought, but she could suit all sorts of colour scheme. I love her tartan skirt, reminds me of one I had when I was little.
I would describe this card style as my attempt at Grunge meets Cute!!!!

The sentiment and image you can see here are the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set from Stampin' Up, along with the half pearls. The ornate embellishment is to my shame a sizzix die which has been collecting dust for about two years and I only just used it today!!!!!

This buckle is another sizzix die, cut from Grungeboard and inked using the Elegant Eggplant ink from Stampin' Up and then glittered.
Wanted to add a bit of glitz so made a pin using the Pretties Kit from Stampin' Up too! The ribbon is from my stash!

I hope you like
I really enjoyed making this card, for no reason at all!!!
Pop by tomorrow for another brilliant bit of news................
Take care
