A DT Card.....

I have been having a play, one with colours and with a Leanne Ellis Image. I love Mermaids and the sea, and these colours were inspired by a Bo Bunny Paper, although I haven't used the papers!!! I used a sea shell set from Elzybells, which has now sadly closed!!

Opps! I did use a bit of paper!!! I paper pieced the tail, and then glittered over it. I also used some glossy accents on the circles to look like water droplets!!!

This image is available from Funky Kits now.

Hope you like

Try Something Different..........

An advantage of being on a Design Team is that you get to play with stamps that you probably wouldn't buy yourself, and I have to be honest, while I admire her artwork and talent, these new images from Leanne Ellis aren't really my style, But I am always ready to try stuff out. They are available from Funky Kits now.
I had a play with some bits I'd not had out for a while, my i-top, t5he swirly punches and I have to say made a conscience decision not to use my promarkers. I really enjoyed working with this image.

I used the Crumb Cake Ink Pad from Stampin' Up, and stamped the image! Then I used a waterbrush, and pulled out some of the colour, to given a very soft painted effect!

I stamped a very simple sentiment onto a tag I cut using a new Spellbinder Die I have! Then added a few pearls!! ALso I over stamped an image and dotted around the edge (not really sure while!!!)

I created a few floral blooms using the i-top, and some Early Expresso DSP from Stampin' Up!!

And here is my final card!!

I added a few extra Early Expresso Swirls, pearls and a taffata ribbon.

Hope you like.

Its always worth having a go with something different, Take Care.

Pen-ultimate Leanne Ellis Design (5)

Well only one more new Image to share after this one. I'm gonna have to come up with something today!!!!! Here is the second Annie Image Sugar Nellie is releasing soon over at Funky Kits. Have you been over there recently. They are soon to be stocking all your favourite stamps. Go and have a look, but after you have looked through this post!!!
Here is the card I created. I have been spending a few more pennies on some goodies. I popped into Once Upon A Stamp home of Nesties and bought a few ( Circles, Circle Scallops and Squares plus Square Scallops) To my horror they are now stocking Martha Stewart and Scor-Pal!!!!!!! More pennies are needed to spend!!!!!.
I created these flowers using the Five Petal Punch from Stampin' Up, and my i-top. I added a sentiment from SU too! Used the Tag Punches and attached with a Brad ( The Pink Tag was cut free hand!)
I added a little bit of detail to the corners with the Martha Stewart Punch, some bling, paper piercing and card candy!
This is one of the new Sizzix Toys I bought from the NEC - It is a Scoreboard Die - it cuts and scores Chipboard. This one is the Chequebook Cover and I used it for creating a notebook. I have decorated it very simply but to match my card. I love these papers and card. Although you can't really tell the card it sparkly - I think the word is pearlescent and the papers is BoBunny 0 bought these on a trip to Blythe.
And finally I did give in a buy a Score-Pal ( I know I have a Martha Stewart core board, but what can I say I'm obsessed!!!!!)
Look what I made though. Its a cupcake box. Isn't it gorgeous. All the instructions are over at the Scor-Pal site. There is a whole list of projects to create, can't wait to make more!
And the final collection. I really love these colours, I created everything out of the card and papers cos I'm fed up with bits left, but I may just have to pop and buy some more 12 by 12 sheets to keep just in case............
I hope you like, I really enjoyed making these projects, and the tools I have used have made them much easier. I just wish Martha Stewart would create some guidelines for projects, suppose I could use the imperial ones from Scor-Pal.
Anyway I'm rambling, have a lovely day I'm off food shopping with Mum and do battle at the Mobile Phone Shop!!!!
Take care

New Leanne Ellis Designs (3)

I think I'm on a roll this week, must be cos I'm not thinking about work!!! Here is another of Leanne's Designs, which Sugar Nellie will be bring out in rubber very soon.

If any of you have ever visited Leanne Ellis' Blog, you will noticed that she is very different!! Not sure how to describe her style, its very Salvador Dahlish but without the weird, almost dreamworld like, very subtle colours!!! Not sure I'm explaining myself very well.

But anyway I have tried to capture her style a little bit here with the papers I have used (again from my stash)

Again another Easel Card, hope you're not fed up with them but I just love the style!

And another Timeless Template.
Plenty of room in here for some goodies!
Again I have been playing with my i-top and created a matching brad,

And here again. Been playing with different styles of blooms and using up some more old stash before buying some new!!LOL!!!

Hope you like, another two designs to share then I really do have to think about work :(

Have a lovely day

New Leanne Ellis Designs (3)

I am really loving these new images from Leanne Ellis, soon to be available from Funky Kits. They are simple and very girlie! This image is one of the New Annie Stamps. I love her simplicity and maybe with a bit of masking and imagination she could be pulling all sorts in her little cart.
Here is what I have come up with for this image. I love red and this time I have teamed it up with Stone and Chocolate Chip. Again another Easel card and a Timeless Template from Papertrey, called Pack a Picnic.
There is a lot of detail on the easel card, such as the blooms, various sorts from my stash.....

......a little feature using my Martha Stewart corner punch and some linen thread.

Isn't this box just gorgeous. It was the cart Annie is pulling which made me think of this template. It comes in two sizes and this is the small version.

Not really done much to it just added some layers and more blooms.
Hope you like.
Child free again today, hopefully, will be crafting after a little bit of shopping!!!
Take care

New Leanne Ellis Designs (2)

I love this image. Although Leanne Ellis is a bit darker in style, I used the Papermania Papers as inspiration for this set. Again this is another image from Sugar Nellie and soon to be available from Funky Kits.
Here is the completed set. Again I have used a Lauren Meader Template. I have really enjoyed sifting through these and using them with these images. A very Girlie, Delicate Set.
Some gorgeous Prima Blooms teamed up with SU Gem Brads.

Here I have trimmed the image with a nestie and layered with a matching scallop one.
And more blooms, and Taffeta Ribbon, (from SU)

Hope you like

New Leanne Ellis Designs (1)

OH I'm so excited lots happening at the House of Sugar!!!!! As part of the Design Team, we have been lucky enough to have a play with some of the new Leanne Ellis Designs.

They are so gorgeous.
Not really my usual style (I'm more cutesy - not me the images I work with), but these are lovely!!

Here is what I have come up with for my first design.....................

This is a digital image at the moment but hopefully the rubber will be available to buy soon.
I printed her off, along with the other 4 arty designs and 2 Annie designs onto one sheet of Whisper White Cardstock.
Then I coloured her using my Promarkers. I am getting so much better at colouring I have searched the Internet looking for different tutorials on various colouring techniques, so have been learning a lot.
Particularly the dress I'm so pleased with the result. I coloured a darker shade of pink at the top where you would expect shade, then using a lighter shade I coloured using a circular motion over the darker shade but not to the bottom, then finally using the same circular motion I used a blender pen. (I'm thinking about doing a new tutorial, depending on time!!!)
Here are some homemade blooms, which I have adorned with some card candy and another brad made using my i-top (I love it!!!)
I wrapped some taffeta ribbon, from SU, around and tied a bow which I topped off with some more card candy.
I think this is very soft and subtle, not me at all, but I quite like the result.
Hope you like too!!
